Description
ARTEX ELT 345 Emergency Locator Transmitter
The ARTEX ELT 345 provides fast, reliable emergency signaling when every second matters. The unit can be activated manually using the cockpit remote switch or ELT control panel, or automatically upon impact when the built-in G-switch detects forces of 2.3 Gs or greater.
Once activated, the ELT 345 transmits a unique digital distress signal on the 406 MHz emergency frequency. Your GPS position is encoded within the transmission and sent to the global Cospas-Sarsat satellite network, which relays the alert to a Mission Control Center and then to the nearest Search and Rescue agency.
Because the beacon is registered to your aircraft, emergency responders can quickly identify who you are and where you are located. The 406 MHz signal provides location accuracy within approximately 100 meters, while the integrated 121.5 MHz homing signal helps rescue teams pinpoint your exact location during the final stages of recovery.
Easy Installation & Retrofit Design
The ELT 345 was engineered to simplify installation and reduce retrofit costs. Available with either a standard or slim-profile two-wire remote switch, the system requires no aircraft power for switch operation.
A single coax cable carries both the 406 MHz distress signal and the 121.5 MHz homing signal, simplifying wiring and installation. The built-in GPS navigation interface also operates independently of aircraft power, helping minimize installation complexity and labor costs.
For retrofit applications, the rugged stainless-steel mounting bracket features a multi-hole mounting pattern designed to accommodate many existing installations. This allows for quick replacement of legacy ARTEX, ACK, Kannad, and Ameri-King ELTs with minimal modification to the aircraft.
