BUILDERS ASSISTANCE & RV REPAIR
Since we've moved to a new, larger facility, SteinAir is happy to announce
the added capability and offering of Builders Assistance.
Our Staff ALL have a wide breadth of knowledge in the homebuilt aircraft
world. We've ALL built and fly our own airplanes, our staff certifications
include FAA certified A&P's, as well as FCC certified technicians, and of course
we're all pilots. With a wide range of experience ranging from Tube/Fabric
aircraft to RV's, to 747's, our people have more experience working on more
kinds of aircraft than many other shops out there.

Some services we can provide are:
- Basic Builders assistance, including sub-assembly help.
- Insurance Company Repair, experts on RV's. We can fix
structural "deficiencies" in RV's!
- Expert Assistance and advice on your RV's (we've built a
number of these things - our staff has THREE flying RV's between us and more
in progress including an RV8 and RV9A) as well as other aircraft. Others on
our staff are building a Slepcev Storch (from scratch), restoring 2 Stinsons,
2 of us used to work for American Champion aircraft, 4 of us used to work for
Northwest Airlines in a variety of mechanical and avionics roles.
- In-Depth assistance with the systems on your plane,
including: Engine, Electrical, Fuel, and more.
- Finishing and Final Assembly...scared of your sliding
canopy, we've done a number of those!
- Storage of your sub-assemblies until you need them. (I.E.,
store them with us instead of the living room)!
- Custom Instrument panels - we're becoming a leader in
providing custom instrument panels. This can save you a LOT of time in
finishing up your plane.
What we can't do:
- Build your entire airplane for you.
- Complete entire sub-assemblies for you.
- Build complete "to order" aircraft.
- Paint your aircraft (this is better done yourself or
outsourced), but we can provide advice, as we've painted a number of aircraft.
We are offering our assistance services as exactly that, Assistance.
That means we help you get your plane done faster. We can also store your
sub-assemblies until you need them, instead of keeping them in your garage or
living room.

RV-4 with "Off Airport Landing"
11/2005. Insurance Repair. Doesn't look bad, but will
require nearly a complete rebuild from the main Wing Spar forward,
including Firewall, engine mount, prop, engine, skins, Longerons,
Weldments, etc..

RV-8. We are assisting this
customer with his gorgeous RV-8. Note the custom 230+hp Lycon
parallel valve -360, also the custom Carbon Fiber Baggage Door....Pretty
slick stuff!
